CrunchChess was created by Grandmaster Arun Prasad. After fifteen years of coaching, he kept seeing the same thing: lessons teach the ideas, but real improvement comes from the practice in between, and most children have no plan for it. CrunchChess is that practice.
CrunchChess was created by Grandmaster Arun Prasad, a former coach of Abhimanyu Mishra, the youngest grandmaster in history, after more than fifteen years teaching over five thousand students across twenty-five schools.

Across all those students, one truth held: lessons teach the ideas, but improvement comes from the practice that follows, and most children have no plan for it. The ones who improved practised a little every day and learned from the mistakes they kept repeating. CrunchChess is that practice, built to run with a coach beside them, or entirely on their own.
The best chess academies in the world use systematic, data-driven training. Elite students get adaptive puzzle sets, detailed feedback, and coaches who know exactly where each student is struggling. Most students get none of that.
CrunchChess is our attempt to change that. We are building the tools that give every chess student, regardless of whether they train with a grandmaster or a school chess club, access to the same quality of structured improvement.

At its core, CrunchChess is a tactics training engine. Every puzzle is tagged by theme, difficulty, and pattern type. The adaptive engine uses your solve history to serve puzzles at exactly the right difficulty, building genuine pattern recognition, not just puzzle completion.
On top of that sits a progress and insights layer: levels, streak tracking, accuracy by theme, and improvement visualisation. Players always know where they stand and what to work on next.
